This is an easy family friendly route that takes in much of what is best about Perthshire. Peaceful, beautiful with interesting and unspoilt towns and villages. The tracks are undemanding and family friendly.

The route consists of a mixture of track and road suitable for MTB's and Trail bikes. It is suitable for families used to travelling this distance with next to no large hills. The route travels through beautiful mixed terrain with extensive bird life and beautiful native trees, and stunning river vistas at Lady Mary's walk.

Getting There

Start from the village shop in the middle of St Fillans.

An easy route which shows off rural Perthshire at its best and most scenic.

Leave Coffee shop in St Fillans and head East towards Comrie on A85.

After 1.26 miles at Entrance to Dundurn estate turn right onto Estate track.

Follow hard track past the bridge then through a gate, keep on track and head east. Beautiful views of Ben Halton.

Go through gate with beware of bull sign.

Go through big Deer fence gate and follow track with some beautiful native trees and river views.

Turn right onto Dalchonzie road.

Turn right onto track through Aberuchil Estate, signposted Craggish House.

Follow track with beautiful views to Aberuchil Castle and Ben Halton and bear left at fork in road towards Footpath sign.

Bear left onto track.

Go straight onto minor road at Craggish House and then onto the Ross of Comrie. Earthquake house on LHS.

Turn right at Bridge of Ross onto A85 and cycle into Comrie to Melville Square. Enjoy the attractions of Comrie.

After enjoying Comrie leave Comrie by the South road over Dalginross bridge and bear left at the T junction on the outskirts of the village. Follow the C road for around 4 miles and turn left signposted to Monzievaird.

Turn right at Laggan Road Track and follow for 1 mile over a grassy track

Take track to right signposted Lady Mary walk and cycle along this beautiful track with the River Earn to the South.

Bear Left at junction, lower track goes along river and is very bumpy but passable.

Bear right to Crieff.

Bear right down to McRosty Park.

Bear left and cycle to steps and Zigzags.

Go up Zigzags to main road A85.

Turn right and cycle into Crieff., be careful this is a busy trunk road.

James Square in the centre of Crieff.

End of route, visit the many attractions of Crieff.
